michelle fowler

President (CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA)

Michelle T. Fowler holds the title of President for Fowler & Company, LTD.  Michelle left public accounting and founded the company in 2001 when she realized there were limited options for smaller financial institutions seeking traditional internal audit and control consulting services in an outsourced environment.

Michelle graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and has been actively involved in the internal audit and consulting business since that time.

Michelle holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Officer.  Michelle’s experience includes three years in public accounting, and four years with James River Bankshares.  Michelle also spent two years in the internal audit department of the Neath Borough Council in Neath, Wales, UK.
